This is Sharon from the Fascinating Family...
Herself, Ramesh and Jack are all part of a family of interactive sculptures that tour the UK to raise awareness for diabetes in the UK.
The Fascinating Family was created in collaboration with Christine Wilcox-Baker for the 'Seven Thousand Feet' project that was displayed in 2018's Manchester Science Festival.
Each blue dot on the sculpture highlights a symptom or cause of diabetes to inform the public of the lesser known symptoms. In Sharon's case this is increased thirst, being overweight and an increased risk of heart problems.
Sharon, Jack and Ramesh all 'talk' when a viewer is in proximity to tell the viewer their own story and how they now deal with their diagnosis.
